Cozy corner flat gets a Parisian make-over in Oberkampf
Fixer-uppers are our absolute favourite! Jöne stumbled upon this 34m² (366 ft²) one-bedroom hidden gem on a 3-day time crunch. Quelle chance ! The flat was 100% gutted for renovation: we opened up the kitchen and separated the counter tops to opposite sides, saving a lot of wasted space. The bedroom was surprisingly large for a Paris apartment; however, there was no living room, so we created a custom bench across from the kitchen to serve as both a dining and entertaining area.
The formerly crowded bathroom was redone with new tiles, fresh white paint, a floating toilet, white subway-tiled shower, and built-in shelves for efficient storage space. Original crown-moulding and herringbone floors dated over 100 years old were kept to preserve the Parisian charm.
No matter how “unattractive”—as long as a space has good bones and the right energy—we have the ability to envision and execute an incredible transformation!
